The problem
Plastic waste is a significant global challenge. While recycling is recognized as having an important role to play, current recycling rates remain under 10%. Waste management infrastructure and recycling processes have to date lagged levels of packaging use. There is a need for collaboration to create a fit for purpose recycling industry – bringing significant societal contribution as well as commercial opportunity.

David Megan is a Chartered Accountant and experienced Chief Financial Officer with a career focused on technology and energy sectors. With more than 30 years of CFO experience in Europe and the United States, David has helped large corporates and disruptive startups achieve scaled growth ambitions with skilled leadership in Investor Relations, Financial Management and Business Planning.
David served as CFO at Plastic Energy for four years and at Accuris, a mobile network technology company, for 13 years, enabling both companies to achieve rapid and sustained growth during his tenure.

Agustin Sanchez has more than 20 years of experience leading worldwide projects focused on resources, and energy circularity and sustainability. He is part of the Plastic Energy founding leadership team (2011), playing an active role in growing Plastic Energy to become a global leader in plastic waste advanced recycling with the first industrial-scale pyrolysis plants in Europe.
